ABSTRACT
When making this piece I was inspired by the words:
FINAL PIECE
FINAL PIECE
silhouette
floating
blue
threat
When I chose the brush to draw with I wanted to pick something that was similar to smoke, shadow,
silhouette. All these three are reminding about each other in some way or another.
SILHOUETTE
FLOATING
BLUE
THREAT
In order to make it look like it was floating I used the round, soft shapes. In the final piece I chose to go with the wave, instead of the closed shape.
When someone is feeling blue they’re feeling emotions like depression, sadness, emptiness, confusion, down, unhappy etc. I chose to go with the color blue since I think that described it the best.
I was thinking about how I could illustrate a threat in the same time using all the collected information together but that was hard. In the shape that's closed you could see a mysterious shape or object that you can't really tell what it might be.
Corona is very often described as the invisible enemy. It's the invisible threat you can't control.
That is what I tried to create.
In the end result, I didn't want to use the closed shape because I wanted to use the wave instead. But it does remind of something that's invisible too, I'm thinking that it might be a ghost? The invisible enemy, the invisible threat. But when adding all the reflections together I thought that the wave was the one to go for.
When making this piece I was inspired by:
breaking loose

NATURE
STUDIES
OF
These are my imitations of the hands that are opening a package/breaking loose/breaking free.
Tried to make it as abstract as I possibly could but by keeping the basic shape of the hands.
The two smaller stripes are meant to symbolize space.
"Breaking loose in order to get your own space" was something I had in mind while doing this abstract illustration. When I thought about breaking loose I instantly thought about someone that's fighting for their freedom. A pair of hands with chains trying to break loose in order to achieve the freedom they deserve. After this thought something else came to my mind and it was someone that is trying to open a package with their hands. They are also breaking something in order to achieve something. Something good. I made a reference video to look at when starting my sketches.
