But then I saw next to the church an playground. I like playgrounds because they have a lot of colors and they are designed for children, so it's always a happy design.

I started collecting images of the playground all over the world and I thought it was funny to see how much some things come back in these playgrounds, but how it can also be very different

I started thinking about playgrounds and I looked up information about it. I started thinking about who is playing at playgrounds, where they are, and what they look like. They look always super happy because of the color they have and the function of the playground is to have fun. When I started thinking about playgrounds in certain bubbles (the subject I looked up first) I started thinking that a playground is actually for everyone and that it is often seen that way. It's a place to meet new people and a place where it doesn't matter where you come from.
So actually a playground is the place where different people come together and the bubble you are in does not matter. I found this very interesting and that is why I continued to collect playgrounds and information about it.

Playgrounds are all over the world and are there for everyone

After the feedback I had, I planned to focus on different bubbles in the world and what characteristics they belong to, for example. I started looking around and started looking at churches, because there are many different of these and many different beliefs in the world and these also create different walls between cultures. So I collected different churces.

Op aanraden van Iris heb de aflevering 'Design for play' gekeken van de serie 'Abstract' op Netflix.

Notes:

- zelf bedenken wat je bouwt

- als je leven voorspelbaar is, waarom ben je dan niet dood (maak iets
onvolspelbaars)

- meerdere manieren om het speelgoed te gebruiken

- spelen met een open eind

- je krijgt al genoeg instructies

- goed speelgoed, maakt goeie mensen (speelgoed helpt in ontwikkeling)

- als we samen spelen, kunnen we ook samen leven.

Speeltuin vormen maken van klei

Experimenteren

Idee achter dit experiment:

Maak zelf je eigen speeltuin, zonder instructies, je kunt het altijd veranderen en door blijven gaan. Ik vond het erg interessant want er in de documentaire design for play werd gezegd. Spelen moet onvoorspelbaar zijn en zonder eind. Zo kun je altijd door blijven experimenteren en denken.

Ik ben gaan kijken wat voor vormen ik uit verschillende speeltuinen kon halen. Met de vormen kun je je eigen kunstwerkje/speeltuin maken

Hoe dit verder uitwerken? ideeën?

- 3D wereld met veel vormen en kleur, je kunt hier je eigen oneindige speeltuin bouwen.

CONCEPT:
Het wereld is 1 grote speeltuin, met alle soorten kleuren en verschillende vormen. (verschillende culturen en mensen)

Ik wil een animatie maken gebasseerd op de figuren die ik met klei heb gemaakt en het doel van het spelen met deze figuren.

Storyline animation:

1. people from different bubble come together in the playground

2. people play with each other, "if we can play together we can also live together"

(The different shapes and colors also represent the different cultures and people we have in the world and how we create together)

(playing with the shapes and the composition of the shapes and colors stands for developing yourself through playing and the unlimited things you can make)

What do I want to tell?

A playground is a place where everyone comes together, Wherever you come from.

You develop yourself by playing and experimenting and by being open to new things and playing endlessly.

The playground shows how I think the world should be a bit more and also my own struggle that I sometimes take everything a little too seriously and forget to play
